Glossary of Terms

Bank:  Any site that produces items of value.

Battle Zone:  Area that contains relics from skirmishes, gun fights, or wars.

Depositors:  Individuals that lose items of value that are later found.

Field Trial:  Open land.

Free Styling:  No particular destination, stopping where the site could be rich with targets.

Frost:  Silver.

Ice:  Diamonds.

Inbound:  On the way to detecting location.

Lane:  Area on the beach between high and low tide.

Lincoln Land:  Another term for public playground where pennies are abundant.

Litter Box:  Public playground sand box.

Mine, Mining, Mined:  The act of digging a target.

Outbound:  Leaving the detecting location.

Penny Patch:  Public playground with swings, slides, monkey bars, etc. where pennies are common.

Quartz Quarry:  Beach or sandy area.

Sack:  Pouch or pocket to hold dug items.

Target:  Items detected by machine but yet to be dug.

Withdrawal:  Items of value that have been removed from the ground.

Yellow:  Gold.
