We had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving 2012 at the beach house in KDH. I finally did something that I have wanted to do for a long time, rent a metal detector. Mom, the kids and I took it on the beach for some fun. We all took turns and everyone was able to find something, mostly nails, some pull tabs and other stuff. We even found a long rusty rod about 5' in length, and another 5' long metal strap of some sort. The latter was near some old timbers that was close to 16" under the sand near the dune. That did it, I was ready for my own detector. But when........
Fast forward one month and I got a detector for Christmas, the Garrett Ace 350.
We again came back down to KDH two days after Christmas and stayed until Jan.7th. I was able to use my new toy just about every day. I found many coins and other stuff.
So I have decided to start this blog and keep records of my adventures. Hang on, this is going to be a fun ride.....
